The decision was made just a few days ago by the whole team because of
the following problems.

The number of competitors was greatly reduced due to the current
unlimited student strike voted in a majority of educational
establishments, this is mostly affecting our competitors from colleges
and universities in the area.
On top of that, the UQAM decided to cancel all activities of its
Science faculty just a month before our event, causing us to loose our
planned venue and part of our financing.

The organizational team decided that the cancellation of the event was
the best option in order to keep our track record of high quality
event for our competitors and partners.

Everyone who already paid their entry fee will be reimbursed in the
next few days. For anyone who registered but didn’t pay yet, consider
your registration voided.

One last point we’d like to clarify to avoid any confusion. The Hackus
organizational team is still there and is actively working on the
next edition. We’re planning to use this extra time to come back even
stronger !

Our CTF will be challenge based. We will present you tasks that are mostly independent from each other and can be solved separately. Topics will vary from Exploitation, Cracking, Crypto, Web Security (among others). The game will be limited to one day (i.e. 24 hours) and the team with the most points is announced the winner.
